Do I need a referral?
No, it is not necessary to have a referral to see a practitioner. However, if you are referred to Recover Sports Medicine, please bring with you any relevant referral letters, paperwork and scans.
Can I claim my private health insurance rebate at my appointment?
Yes, we have a HICAPS terminal that allows us to process your Private Health Rebate on the spot at the time of your appointment. Please ensure you bring your Private Health card with you to your appointment or alternatively, we can print you an invoice so you can claim directly.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard. Please note, we do not accept Diners Club or American Express cards
Is free parking available?
Yes, Recover Sports Medicine clinic offers free and secure off-street parking. Located on Level 1, with entry and parking via Hotham Place. If you have any trouble finding us, our friendly and helpful reception staff are ready to assist with any enquiries.
Do you have disabled access?
Yes, located inside the ground floor entrance.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, we require that you book in advance for all services at Recover Sports Medicine. When you call to make an appointment please let our friendly reception team know:
- If you have been referred to a specific practitioner
- The service required
- Any special requirements needed
How can I make, change or cancel an appointment?
Please call 1300 858 774 to speak to our friendly reception team to book your appointment. 24 hours notice is required prior to your appointment for changes or cancellations, otherwise a cancellation fee of 50% of the original appointment cost may be charged.
How long are appointments?
The length of your appointment will depend on the service you require. Please ask our friendly receptionists on 1300 858 774 when booking your appointment to provide you with an approximation of appointment length.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your consultation to allow sufficient time to check in and complete any pre appointment forms that may be necessary.
Please bring any scans, x-rays, referral letters or reports relevant to your injury to your appointment, as this will assist your practitioner in assessing your condition. Our practitioners can proceed without them but the more information they have about your injury or condition, the better equipped they will be.
What should I wear to my appointment?
It is best to wear loose fitting clothing in which you feel comfortable to move and exercise. We recommend you wear regular runners or soft walking shoes to maintain proper support for your feet. If you are participating in a Clinical Pilates class, or utilizing the Alter-G Treadmill, please bring a work-out towel and a drink.
